This year, we proudly present Batik cakes, a collaboration with Amanda Hartanto Batik inspired by their new collection for Hari Batik Nasional 2024. This new cake collection is a tribute to our national heritage, blending fashion and Nusantara flavors. In this piece, we are taking you to discover the spices nestled between every layer of Sriwedari and Prameswari!
- Cardamom
In Bahasa Indonesia, “cardamom” means “kapulaga”, a spice from the ginger family (Zingiberaceae). Kapulaga is often found in West Java and the Banten area and is also one of the top ten exported spices to the world. This spice is infused in our Spiced Pineapple Compote layer that enhances the pineapple with spicy notes. - Secang Wood
It might be new to you to find Secang in a dessert, as they are usually consumed as herbal tea or jamu. Not only are they beneficial for your health, but they are also full of flavors: a combination of sweet and a little bit salty. You can find a taste of Secang Wood nestled in our Spiced Pineapple Compote layer! - Star Anise
Star Anise is known for its aromatic fragrance and is usually put in Asian cuisine to enhance any food. The flavor of Star Anise is kind of bitter with a twist of spice flavor. In Sriwedari and Prameswari cakes, we have Mandarin Orange Cream that is infused with Star Anise, giving a harmony of spice and citrus flavor when you take a bite. - Pekalongan Tea
As we are collaborating with Amanda Hartanto Batik whose new collection is made by Batik artisans in Pekalongan, we infuse Pekalongan tea into our chocolate mousse. When you taste the chocolate mousse, it brings you a chocolate-y flavor at first, but leaves you with a tea aftertaste in the end!Sriwedari and Prameswari are available for pre-order only, estimated three (3) days of the pre-order process. Make your golden moments truly memorable with our NEW Batik cake collection!
